Integrated Report 2021 189 DELIVERING SUSTAINABLE GROWTH RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT With operations in twenty-six (26) countries, we engage with hundreds of suppliers throughout the year. Our relationships with our suppliers are critical to our business operations and sustainability. In the countries where we operate we seek to work with suppliers that share our value systems and comply with our supplier’s code of conduct including, among others, corporate governance, fair and legal practices, health and safety, transparency, labour laws, human rights and environmental compliance. Through engagements with suppliers and assessment of our supply chain, we will continue to improve our performance and create mutually beneficial shared values. Year end review meeting in December 2020 was conducted virtually with 110 key managements As we expand our business internationally, we always instill on our employees a “Think Globally, Act Locally” philosophy. To be successful in a foreign country we need to learn to be respectful and adapt to its culture, practices and environment. Setting a global vision for a company is important as it helps us achieve the primary objective of profit maximisation. However, we need to be able to satisfy the needs of local workers, customers, suppliers, government and the environment. In Malaysia, we are an anchor company under Vendor Development Programme with the Minister of Entrepreneur Development andCooperative ("MEDAC") and PETRONAS ("VDP x" ).
