His career spans leadership positions in listed companies, private enterprises, and non-profit organisations. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Madani Research Centre, where he leads research, policy engagement, and strategic collaboration initiatives aligned with Malaysia's national development agenda. He also serves as Chairman of Tune Talk and has been an Advisor to Bolt, a London-based online media company, where he provides guidance on corporate restructuring, capital market strategies, and investor positioning. Previously, Azmi served as Managing Director of Prominent Million Sdn Bhd, where he expanded the company's national retail presence and strengthened partnerships with international brands. He was also a Director and substantial shareholder of KFC Holdings (M) Berhad, contributing to its strategic direction and expansion during his tenure. Earlier in his career, he held roles in corporate strategy and business development, including with Idris Hydraulic (M) Berhad and Princess Angkor Hotel Co Ltd in Cambodia. In addition to his corporate roles, Azmi has been actively involved in philanthropic and social initiatives. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Aman and continues to serve as a Trustee of Yayasan Ismail, supporting programmes in education, healthcare, and community development. Azmi graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IUM) in 1996. He does not hold any directorship in other public companies and listed companies.
