To uphold a clear separation of powers and maintain an appropriate system of checks and balances, the roles of Chairman and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer are held by different individuals who are not related to one another. UEM Edgenta experienced leadership transition during the financial year as Encik Syahrunizam Samsudin relinquished his position as the Company’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer on 31 August 2025, where the Board had immediately initiated a formal succession process to maintain continuity and stability during the leadership transition. This leadership shift culminated in the appointment of Encik Shaiful Subhan as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Edgenta effective 1 November 2025, following a rigorous selection process that underscored the Company’s commitment to robust succession planning.
