Objective: What We Did: Progress and Achievements: Career and Workforce Development Engaging with universities is pivotal to our employer branding strategy. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive programme that acquaints university students and young individuals with the corporate environment, equipping them with the necessary skills to foster their professional growth and development. We conducted a series of workshops and knowledge-sharing events, facilitating an exchange of industry knowledge. As part of this effort, we launched the inaugural Youth Power Up programme. This programme is tailored to familiarise students with the corporate world and arm them with relevant skills. It offers valuable exposure to the younger generation, including Bank Islam Youth Ambassadors (BIYA), undergraduate students, scholars, and interns – a diverse group of 67 participants in our inaugural event. Our consistent collaboration and engagement efforts have led to notable progress and achievements. We have seen a tangible impact on our standing as a preferred employer, reflected in our improved rankings among Malaysia’s universities and colleges’ students and graduates. Notably, we rose to 2nd place in the Graduan Brand Awards 2023 and Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers 2023 in the Banking & Finance category, up from 3rd the previous year. Additionally, we leaped to 6th from 12th in Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers 2023 Overall, while sustaining our 4th place in the Graduates’ Choice Awards 2023 Banking & Finance category.
