This initiative included health screenings, fitness sessions, and wellness awareness campaigns, while also granting our employees access to invaluable resources such as BITI-Friends, Naluri, and Social Security Organisation (SOCSO). Objective: What We Did: Blood Donation Day To encourage blood donation among employees. Our annual Blood Donation Day witnessed almost 100 employee donors actively participating, showcasing our dedication to employee health and the collective impact of our actions. This turnout directly addressed community needs, highlighting the connection between personal well-being and social responsibility. Objective: What We Did: The Biggest Loser 2.0 To foster a culture of health and fitness, leading to improved physical wellness and weight management. Building on the success of the 2021 wellness challenge, we reintroduced the "Biggest Loser 2.0" programme in 2023. With 377 participants enrolled, 150 successfully completed the challenge. The programme yielded impressive results, including a notable 25% enhancement in overall physical wellness and an average weight loss of 3.0kg among participants. Objective: What We Did: Testimonials from our BITIZENs Asmawati Kamarudin – Senior Confidential Secretary, Business Marketing Division – “I've always wanted to switch to a healthier lifestyle to get fit and at the same time reduce the risk of many chronic diseases. After seeing the email about the Biggest Loser Challenge programme, I grabbed this opportunity. That started my 16-week journey (March to July). Now, there are no words to explain how good I feel from the inside out... I feel fabulous! I found a healthy balance by not restricting myself to certain things I like, such as desserts, especially chocolate, but just limiting the amount I consumed. It has helped me change my eating habits along with adding exercise to my lifestyle. My advice to others would be to find your ‘why’! What is the reason why weight loss is important to you – that is what will keep you going. You will be successful by sticking to the dietary plans provided by coaches (Naluri Programme). I feel and look great, which has helped boost my confidence a lot. I am glad I didn’t give up and now have the tools needed to maintain my new lifestyle. I would totally recommend it to anyone struggling to lose weight.” Imran Tuan Yaacob – Group Social Finance Division – “Participating in the programme was a life-changing experience! With the support of the programme, I achieved my weight loss goals and adopted a healthier lifestyle. The challenge pushed me to overcome obstacles and empowered me to make positive changes.” 125 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 www.bankislam.com SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT
