The Value Created in 2023 1. Championing Holistic Well-Being Bank Islam launched a comprehensive set of initiatives within the "Live Well" programme to enhance the overall wellbeing of our employees. Covering emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and financial wellness, these initiatives underscore our commitment to creating a supportive work environment. a) Mental Wellness We are committed to fostering a workplace culture that encourages open communication and support to enhance mental well-being. Our initiatives empower staff with a variety of tools and strategies to effectively manage their mental health. BITI-Friend, A Peer-to-Peer Support Platform To support employees in addressing mental health issues, fostering a culture of openness and encouraging helpseeking when needed. Since 2023, we launched BITI-Friend, a platform empowering employees to prioritise their well-being. Connecting them with trained volunteers, we foster open conversations, destigmatise mental health support, and normalise help-seeking behaviour within our organisation. Our collaboration with the Malaysia Mental Health Association has equipped 30 staff with valuable skills, expanding BITI-Friend's support network and reinforcing our commitment to fostering a workplace culture where mental health acceptance and help-seeking are the norm. Objective: What We Did: Progress and Achievements: “Live Well” Portal To promote employee well-being by providing accessible mental health support and resources. In collaboration with Naluri, a leading health-tech firm specialising in digital mental health and wellness solutions, we launched the "Live Well" portal. This strategic collaboration provides our employees with remote therapy sessions, diverse health resources, and continuous support access, enhancing accessibility to comprehensive well-being tools and services. Our collaborative efforts led to 276 therapy hours delivered and 47 Naluri careline calls managed, significantly boosting mental health support for our employees.
