Zetrix AI Berhad Annual Report 2025

SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT MATERIALITY MATTERS (cont’d) SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT As a public blockchain ecosystem, Zetrix also enables third parties and developer communities to build and deploy applications for business, government and social use cases. In this way, Zetrix AI seeks to catalyse innovation, create ecosystem spillover effects and strengthen digital readiness in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. Through its role in advancing blockchain and AI adoption, whether directly or in collaboration with institutions such as MIMOS Berhad in Malaysia and CAICT in China, as well as through technology partnerships under the ASEAN China AI Lab, the Group also contributes to strengthening technical knowledge, enhancing workforce capabilities and encouraging upskilling opportunities in the wider economy. The Group’s collaboration with INCEIF University and JAKIM related to the development of Islamic AI applications serve as further examples of our contributions toward broader national economic goals. These developments help support national and regional competitiveness while improving the attractiveness of the economy as an investment destination. Zetrix AI recognises that the adoption of new technologies may, over time, disrupt certain legacy workflows, job functions and business models. Nevertheless, the Group believes such transitions can be managed through adaptation, retraining and upskilling, and that the broader productivity, security and value creation benefits arising from technological advancement are expected to outweigh short-term adjustment challenges. Beyond its blockchain-related activities, the Group also contributes indirect economic and social value through its involvement in Malaysia’s foreign worker housing programmes, which help provide safer, quality and affordable accommodation for migrant worker communities while supporting more effective management of social conditions in the surrounding areas. CYBER SECURITY Digital reliance continues to be a key consideration for Zetrix AI and its customers, and the Group proactively advances its digital capabilities to support this reliance. This includes strengthening its digital segments and placing heightened emphasis on cyber security, in recognition of the increasing prevalence and sophistication of cyber threats in today’s digital environment. With Zetrix AI’s core business heavily revolving around being an e-government and commercial service provider, cyber threats must be taken extremely seriously. Given how much potential damage and disruption cyberattacks could cause to the Group’s brand image, financials and public/stakeholder relations, it is essential for Zetrix AI to have a proper cyber security system in place. Zetrix AI’s Endpoint Detection and Response (“EDR”) security implementation with an integrated solution delivers visibility, segmentation, and protection throughout Zetrix AI’s entire network infrastructure. Furthermore, the Group employs a Multi-Factor Authentication (“MFA”) solution to protect sensitive data by adding an extra layer of security and improving access control. Zetrix AI’s utilisation of a modern cloud-native infrastructure, as well as the adherence to stringent safety measures, continues to fortify our cyber security to avoid any data breaches. The migration from premises security hardware to a cloud-based security service allows Zetrix AI to expand its slew of cyber security tools (i.e. Application Security – DDoS Protection, Rate Limiting, Web Application Firewall, SSL/TLS Encryption, Application Performance – CDN, DNS management, Load Balancing, Smart Routing, etc.) using Cloudflare. In parallel, and with safety and security in mind, Zetrix AI is also adopting and deploying selected solutions on blockchain infrastructure. Blockchain’s decentralisation, immutability, consensus mechanisms and cryptographic protections can provide a more tamper-resistant environment compared to conventional centralised databases, which may be more vulnerable to single points of failure and unauthorised access. To further strengthen assurance over its blockchain ecosystem, Zetrix also maintains a Bug Bounty Programme to support continuous identification and remediation of potential vulnerabilities through responsible community-based reporting: https://www.zetrix.com/bug-bounty-programme/. Zetrix AI continues to solidify its systems, protocols and best practices to protect and recover computer systems, devices, networks, and programmes against any type of cyberattack. 95
