Directors are required to notify the Board before accepting any new directorships. This process ensures that their commitment to the Board remains unaffected, even though the MMLR of Bursa Securities permit a Director to sit on the boards of up to five (5) listed issuers. Such notifications should include an indication of the time commitment for the new appointment. Currently, all the Directors of the Company are in full compliance with the MMLR of Bursa Securities, with none serving on the boards of more than five (5) listed issuers. 5. Continuous Development of the Board To maintain the Group’s competitive edge, the Board recognises the importance of staying abreast of industry trends and evolving developments. Directors are provided with training opportunities in areas such as new laws and regulations, financial reporting, risk management, and investor relations to equip them with the necessary knowledge to effectively discharge their duties. The Board ensures that all Directors complete the Mandatory Accreditation Program (“MAP”) as prescribed by Bursa Securities. This includes MAP Part I covering a Director’s roles, duties, and liabilities, and MAP Part II which focuses on sustainability and the related roles of a Director. The NC regularly identifies the training needs of all Directors to ensure they remain well-informed and effective in their roles. Directors are committed to enhancing their skills and knowledge throughout their tenure to maximise their effectiveness.
