SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT MATERIALITY MATTERS (cont’d) As in previous years, the Group’s approach to managing IP is two-pronged as follows: IP DEVELOPMENT IP PROTECTION STRATEGY Innovating on existing and new product and service offerings to satisfy the existing needs of customers and improve user experience. Exploring new business areas and technologies relevant to Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). Focusing on accessibility and cost-effectiveness as prime considerations in our innovation output. Sourcing third-party knowledge via collaborations and partnerships with institutions and promising tech start-ups locally and internationally. Implementing internal policies to ensure legal protection of our IP. Applying for and filing of patents on innovations developed by the Group. Registering trademarks and brand logos as IP. RESULTS Zetrix AI entered into an MOU with MIMOS Technology Solutions Sdn. Bhd. to jointly develop and operate the MBI using the Zetrix blockchain as the core component. Zetrix AI, in collaboration with the Institute of Industrial Internet and Internet of Things of CAICT, established an international extension of China’s national blockchain network, Xinghuo Blockchain Infrastructure and Facility (“Xinghuo BIF”), by introducing backbone and supernodes outside China on the Zetrix platform. This led to the full deployment of cross-border applications like Xinghuo Beta Name System (“BNS”) and Xinghuo Digital Identity Service, which are fully compliant with W3C International Standards and accessible on Zetrix. Under Zetrix AI, blockchain-based Identifiers/Verifiable Credentials and blockchain-based e-signing services have been introduced. Zetrix AI also launched the pilot for its cross-border trade financing solution, Zetrix TradeFi (“ZTF”), as well as the pilot project to offer supply chain financing products in conjunction with Chinese banks. Zetrix AI received JPJ’s approval to kickstart Proof of Concept (“POC”) to set up an Automated Training and Driving Test System (“e-Testing”) which aims to better assess the competencies of candidates undergoing the Drivers’ Learning Education Curriculum. The Road Transport Department has allowed Zetrix AI to proceed with the implementation of the pilot phase for MYDTS (“MYDTS Pilot Test”) involving actual test candidates. Zetrix AI was chosen by the Chinese Government as a component of its G2G programme. Initiated by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology (“MOST”), Malaysia is one of the 14 countries participating in the programme. The China-Malaysia G2G cooperation covers four sectors, including public health (such as vaccine research and development), AI, Information and Communications Technology (“ICT”) (blockchain, big data, etc.), as well as space remote sensing technology. Zetrix AI and Universiti Malaya have expanded their research collaboration with CAICT to include the development of AI technology under the existing intergovernmental research collaboration. Zetrix AI launched an Initial Exchange Offering (“IEO”) on Coinstore, a digital asset exchange. Zetrix AI tokens have thereafter been listed on various digital asset exchanges. Trademarks registered and IPs patended previously have been carefully maintained, safeguarded and utilised throughout FY2025. These included the continued provision of government services and Zetrix AI’s entry into the healthcare sector and the blockchain space. 100
