108 YINSON HOLDINGS BERHAD AI innovation to enhance efficiency Yinson Group IT made progress in its Data Strategy & Architecture Roadmap, launched in 2023, which includes data management and deployment of analytics, and generative AI solutions – boosting efficiency and governance, further improving collaboration and productivity across the organisation. The IT team is driving efforts to integrate more comprehensive information into insightful dashboards. By enhancing the breadth and depth of dashboard data, Yinson is empowering employee with clearer, real-time analytics that facilitate easier and more robust data-driven decisions. Other AI initiatives included the implementation of an internal AI‑powered awareness training programme and the deployment of in-house vulnerability assessment tool with the objectives of strengthening the organisation’s cybersecurity and enhancing enterprise‑wide risk visibility. Future AI Strategy Yinson has developed a Future AI Strategy that emphasises responsible innovation, underpinned by strong governance. Built on three core pillars, the strategy leverages the Yinson Open Data and AI (YODA) framework to establish a secure, scalable and well-governed foundation for AI adoption. AI is positioned as an enabler to augment human decision-making, with accountability and oversight remaining central to its application. This approach is guided by key principles, including fairness, accountability, transparency, privacy, reliability, security and sustainability. SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW Sustainable data centre infrastructure Yinson’s enterprise systems and platforms are supported by data centre infrastructure operated by leading technology and cloud service providers. As reliance on cloud-based and data-driven capabilities increases, the sustainability performance of these providers remains an important consideration. Yinson assesses key providers against criteria including energy efficiency, carbon reduction and responsible resource use, ensuring alignment with the Group’s sustainability commitments and risk management framework. Strategic pillars Responsible innovation AI is deployed deliberately to create value, with clear consideration of ethical and risk implications, to provide a conducive environment for structured experimentation. Development of ethical AI frameworks Practical frameworks and guardrails are established to guide consistent and responsible use of AI across the organisation.
