A thorough investigation was immediately launched to implement immediate and permanent corrective risk-mitigation measures. The affected employee received immediate medical attention and has since fully recovered. In accordance with our zeroharm commitment and robust return-to-work protocols, the employee's safe reintegration into the workforce was systematically managed through an optimised workstation rearrangement to eliminate immediate ergonomic stressors, alongside a temporary transfer to alternative low-impact duties aligned with medical clearance guidelines. In response to this incident, NexG has reinforced its workplace safety awareness and safe lifting protocols across all operational sites. Furthermore, to permanently eliminate the root cause of this physical strain, the Group is actively investigating automated machinery designed to minimise repetitive manual handling tasks across our production lines. This proactive transition from manual labour to machine-assisted workflows fundamentally mitigates operational physical hazards, drastically reduces future injury frequencies, and reinforces NexG's commitment towards our workers safety. During the reporting period, a significant increase in contract production volumes necessitated maximum workforce deployment on the manufacturing floor. Consequently, formal, classroombased safety and health training hours experienced a temporary year-on-year reduction to prioritise immediate operational demands. Despite this strategic reallocation of resources, the Group maintained an uncompromising commitment to workplace safety. Moving forward, the Group is committed to normalising its safety training schedule as production volumes stabilise. This is to build greater operational resilience against future production surges by expanding our training delivery methods. OUR PROGRESS (CONT'D) OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (CONT'D) NexG provides technology solutions to government agencies and financial institutions — sectors where trust, integrity and regulatory compliance are paramount. Sound ethical practices are foundational to maintaining the confidence of our clients, partners and regulators, and to sustaining our business over the long term. As stakeholder expectations around corporate conduct continue to rise, embedding ethical standards across our operations, from how we manage conflicts of interest to how we handle third-party relationships, remains central to how we operate responsibly and competitively. Ethical conduct at NexG is governed through a framework that spans Board-level accountability, committee oversight and operational enforcement, working together to ensure that our governance commitments translate into consistent practice across the organisation. The Board sets the overarching direction for ethical conduct at NexG, holding ultimate accountability for governance standards across the Group. To support this, the Board has delegated specific responsibilities to its Board Committees, including the Audit and Risk Management Committee, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and the Sustainability Committee, each operating within defined terms of reference. At the operational level, the Risk and Governance Unit ("RGU") oversees compliance and upholds ethical standards across the Group’s dayto-day activities, ensuring governance measures remain effective and current. Underpinning this framework are our Group-wide policies that set clear expectations for directors, employees, business partners and thirdparty intermediaries. The Group’s key policies are publicly accessible at www.nexg.com.my/investors. New employees are briefed on the Anti- Bribery and Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) Policy and Whistleblowing Policy as part of the induction process. ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
