OUR APPROACH CONSUMABLES STEWARDSHIP AIR QUALITY & POLLUTION CONTROL At NexG, environmental stewardship is integral to our operational resilience. How we manage our facilities, from the energy that powers our production to the emissions and waste generated through our operations, shapes our footprint on the communities and ecosystems where we operate. As a provider of critical digital trust infrastructure whose products are used daily by millions of Malaysian citizens, maintaining high environmental standards reflects our commitment to responsible and sustainable growth. At NexG, we prioritise the optimisation of consumables and the rigorous monitoring of production by-products to ensure our operations remain well within applicable national regulatory limits. NexG's operations are specialised rather than resource-intensive by nature. Our approach to environmental stewardship focuses on the high-precision use of materials and the extension of resource lifecycles through reuse and efficiency. Our card manufacturing and personalisation processes utilise high-performance inputs including polycarbonate core materials and specialised printing consumables such as ribbons, ink cartridges, cleaning rollers, and lamination films. At our RPS facility, we prioritise the optimisation of these consumables to maximise utility while minimising operational waste. We also take a practical approach to packaging. At PJ223 and Meru, corrugated boxes are reused for product deliveries wherever feasible. Meanwhile, our RPS facility utilises customer-supplied packaging, reducing the need for additional packaging materials on our end. NexG monitors and manages air emissions across facilities, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014 while minimising any potential impact on surrounding areas. Air quality at the PJ223 facility is assessed annually through stack emission testing conducted by an independent third party. Results have consistently confirmed that the monitored pollutants remain well below prescribed regulatory limits. At our Meru facility, independent third-party testing confirms that emissions remain significantly below national regulatory thresholds. Air emissions are monitored regularly and activated carbon filters are installed to capture airborne pollutants before release. Meanwhile at the RPS facility, filters are installed to manage emissions from equipment, including generator sets. We remain focused on optimising material efficiency at the source to further minimise our total generated waste intensity relative to production volume. Notes: (1) Certain waste categories are marked as “*” for specific reporting years where no such materials were generated or handled during our core operational cycles. (2) Data in this table reflects strictly operational waste generated from NexG’s manufacturing and office facilities.
