Kimlun Corporation Berhad Annual Report 2025

ANNUAL REPORT 2025 053 SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT Risks Opportunities • Lack of environmental and social awareness among internal and external stakeholders, which may result in spot checks, notices, or fines from regulatory authorities. • Insufficient engagement with local communities, potentially leading to complaints or disputes that could affect the Group’s license to operate. • Implement high-impact CSR programs that directly benefit local communities, such as sponsoring school facilities (e.g., computers), donating medical equipment (e.g., infant incubators), or organizing environmental initiatives like beach clean-ups. • Monitor community feedback trends to identify both positive and negative perceptions, enabling proactive engagement and improvement. • Track participation and engagement of customers and local communities in Kimlun’s CSR activities to measure impact and foster stronger relationships. • Support local entrepreneurship and small businesses by creating partnership opportunities and integrating them into project supply chains. Our Approach Contribution to Society At Kimlun Group, we are committed to making a meaningful impact beyond our business operations by actively contributing to the well-being of local communities. Before commencing new developments, by our property division, Kimlun Land, we conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and engage stakeholders to understand potential impacts on the community, enabling us to proactively mitigate risks and ensure responsible development. Our corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) initiatives include: • Donations to charitable foundations, including contributions to cancer foundations and financial aid for terminally ill and underprivileged patients. • Provision of financial contributions to universities, religious institutions, local sports clubs, welfare societies and other fundraising events. • Contributions to neighbouring villages as well as professional conferences. Progress In FY2025, Kimlun contributed a total of RM243,851 to non-governmental organizations, foundations, and local initiatives with no political contribution made, an approximately 102% increase in contribution from FY2024. During the same year, we hosted 48 interns within our organization from January to December, providing hands-on experience and career development opportunities. While the exact number of individual beneficiaries remains difficult to determine given that some donations were made through foundations and fundraising organisations, we directly supported 16 various organizations through monetary or asset contributions. Moving forward, the Group will continuously seek out and support meaningful charitable initiatives to create a lasting and positive impact on the communities we serve.
