DESCRIPTION Our employees understand our processes, boast a wealth of specialised industry knowledge and are the core driver of innovation across the Group. As such, to achieve our ambitious growth targets and maintain the rich and meaningful culture that we have fostered through the years, retaining our finest talents is simply essential. At the same time, we must ensure that we are competitive in the market for new talent. Our industries require specialised knowledge and suffer from a lack of high quality candidates, meaning that lacking a strong employee proposition would result in significant disadvantages vis-à-vis our competitors. An inability to retain talent and/or attract new talent would negatively affect our businesses by: • Reducing our competitiveness against other market players • Hampering our innovation and business development potential • Hampering our ability to forge new business partnerships and in turn access new markets • Reducing the trust that our shareholders and other stakeholders have in our transformation roadmap and growth agenda POTENTIAL IMPACT • Undertaking a comprehensive human resource transformation plan in FY2022, driven across five pillars – System, Expertise, Organisation, Leadership and Culture • Introducing the Talent Management and Succession Planning Framework, which assists subsidiaries in developing and retaining talent • Undertaking a RM5 million workforce optimisation exercise, which is geared towards matching the right talent to the right roles, and thereby increasing employee satisfaction • Enhancing salaries and benefits in Q1 FY2023 to remain competitive against key market players, including by rolling out a revised Employee Share Option Scheme ("ESOS") Framework and offering an additional share grant to eligible employees (in March 2022) • Introducing a new Performance Management System ("PMS") that better aligns rewards to employee performance • Investing in additional employee activities, including town halls and role-specific trainings MITIGATION STRATEGIES HUMAN CAPITAL ATTRACTION & RETENTION IMPACTING Strategic Thrusts Capitals RISK MOVEMENT 61 DNeX INTEGRATED REPORT 2022
