DATASONIC GROUP BERHAD I ANNUAL REPORT 2020 (Registration No. 200801008472 (809759-X)) 89 DIRECTORS’ RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS The Directors are responsible for the preparation of the Group’s and of the Company’s financial statements each financial year in accordance with the requirements of the applicable Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards, Companies Act, 2016 (“the Act”) and Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Central to these requirements is the need to ensure that the audited financial statements present a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Group and of the Company at the end of the financial year, and of their results, cash flows and statement of changes in equity for the financial year then ended. In the preparation of these financial statements, the Directors have:- a) applied the appropriate and relevant accounting policies in a consistent manner; b) made judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and c) prepared the annual audited financial statements on a going concern basis. The Directors are responsible to ensure that the Group and the Company keep accounting records which disclose the financial position of the Group and of the Company with reasonable accuracy, enabling them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Act.
