Serba Dinamik Annual Report 2021

Integrated Report 2021 219 Educating the Community Good quality education is an essential tool for achieving a sustainable world. We aim to provide good quality education and provide skilled trainings to youth in Malaysia. We have a technical education and training unit which is supported by our 'City & Guilds' approved training centres. Since our first cohort with City & Guilds back in 2008, we have been a key player in closing the talent gap for the oil and gas industry by producing over 600 successful graduates of City & Guilds certification. Approximately 97% of our graduates have secured job placements in the oil and gas industry upon completion of their technical education programmes. Most of the students are from underprivileged background. Upon completion of the course, most of the graduates will be absorbed as our employee. This will enable us to develop future skilled workers for our own workforce through developing their capabilities, competencies, and readiness to serve the market. In 2020, we acquired University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (“UNIMY”) to accelerate the expansion of our technical education and training segment and to design training curriculum specifically for theoil andgas industry. Additionally, UNIMY’s focus in digital technology and engineering also complements our Group’s strategy to prepare the future workforce to be Industrial Revolution 4.0 ready, same goes to our own workforce. Signing ceremony between Prestariang Berhad (former owner of UNIMY) and Serba Dinamik Group Berhad Our batch of students through CENTEXS 97% of our graduates secured job placements The acquisition of UNIMY will also provide a place for our employee’s children in campus which focus on ICT related syllabus through Serba Education fund.
