Section 6 | Sustainability Statement 180 SUSTAINABILITY FRAMEWORK As a commercial enterprise we have an ongoing responsibility to our stakeholders to create shared value. We acknowledge that we operate within a wider ecosystem encompassing various stakeholders, countries in which we derive economic benefits, as well as the environment that sustain all of us. We have developed an overall sustainability framework and guiding principles premised upon the evaluation of the economic, environment, social and governance aspect of our business operations towards achieving sustainability goals. Our four (4) sustainability goals are as follows : 1) Delivering sustainable growth; 2) Safeguarding employees and environment; 3) Enriching employees and communities; and 4) Practicing good governance We aim to provide sustainable business and profit growth to our stakeholders. This drives us to continuously innovate by incorporating technological advancements into our business operations while maintaining our core competencies and uphold ethical business practices. Safety is an important aspect of our company. We aim to protect our employees by creating a safe working environment. We also strive to maintain and adhere to sound environmental management systems and support environmental initiatives through investments in renewable and clean energy, as well as water supply, water treatment and waste management. As we strive to be a global enterprise, we continuously develop our people, enrich communities and contribute positively to the society. We aim to provide access to basic resources to eradicate poverty, upskill employees and foster youths. We also believe in promoting gender equality in our workplace.
