The Board of Directors of Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad ("MHB") wishes to announce that it has approved the resolution of members to commence a member’s voluntary winding up for its wholly owned and dormant subsidiary, namely MMHE International Sdn Bhd (“MMHE International”) effective 7 August 2024.
Further, a wholly-owned and major subsidiary of MHB, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (“MMHE”), had approved the resolution to commence a member’s voluntary winding up for its wholly owned and dormant subsidiary, MMHE LNG Sdn Bhd (“MMHE LNG”), effective 7 August 2024.
MHB and MMHE approved the appointment of Puan Haniza binti Sabaran and Cik Aryani binti Abd. Latiff as the liquidators for MMHE International and MMHE LNG, respectively, on 7 August 2024.
MMHE International and MMHE LNG have ceased business operations, are currently dormant, and do not intend to carry on business or operations in the future. The winding-up of MMHE International and MMHE LNG allows MHB Group to streamline its operations and optimise resource utilisation.
The member’s voluntary winding up of MMHE International and MMHE LNG is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets per share, earnings per share or gearing of MHB for the financial year ending 31 December 2024.
None of the Directors and/or Substantial Shareholders of MHB and/or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the member’s voluntary winding up of MMHE International and MMHE LNG.
This announcement is dated 7 August 2024.
