Datin Hoi Lai Ping has over 35 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, including change management and implementation of new business operating models. She started her career with Hong Leong Finance Berhad in 1983, before she joined the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 1988. As a banker for 11 years, she evaluated property development projects, managed loan syndications and the credit department, oversaw the regional office branches, was involved in business and corporate banking, implementation of risk rating and was part of two mergers. In 1994, she joined Accenture Kuala Lumpur as Manager, and was promoted to be an Associate Partner in 1999, and then made Partner in 2005. During her time in Accenture Kuala Lumpur, she also worked alongside various organisations in Australia, Indonesia, and assisted in projects based in Portugal, Singapore, Korea and China. She retired from Accenture in March 2009 after 15 years. |
