Press Metal Annual Report 2024

Upholding Good Governance and Economic Resilience Integrated Annual Report 2024 SECTION 5 • DELIVERING SUSTAINABLE VALUE FOR OUR STAKEHOLDERS 119 We maintain records of manufacturing processes, product specifications, inspections, and testing protocols, ensuring traceability and accountability at every stage. Any instances of non-compliance will be reported, and rectified, supported by open communication channels that engage both customers and internal teams. Customer feedback is proactively sought, serving as a vital tool for pinpointing opportunities for enhancement and pre-empting future discrepancies. In the event of complaints, a structured root cause analysis will be executed using the seven (7) Quality Control Approach, methodically tracing issues back to their origins within the manufacturing process. Subsequently, corrective actions will be implemented and documented through the 8-Discipline (“8D”) Report Form or Corrective Action Request Form. The 7 Quality Control Approach The 8D methodology takes a structured, eight (8)-step approach to problem-solving, designed to identify and address weaknesses within management systems that may have contributed to an issue. The process is outlined as follows: Team Establishment Problem Statement Emergency Response Actions/ Corrections Root Cause Analysis & Verification Corrective Actions Countermeasure/ Effectiveness Confirmation Preventive Measures/ Follow-Up Actions Team & Individual Recognition/ Review & Approvals D1 D2 D3 D4 D5 D6 D7 D8 8D Processes Additionally, Press Metal integrated the Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (“GADSL”) into its quality assurance framework in FYE2024. This adoption reinforced our commitment to maintaining quality standards while ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations. The GADSL framework plays a role in verifying that materials and components supplied to the automotive industry adhere to stringent quality and sustainability requirements, reflecting Press Metal’s broader environmental and industry commitments. 4. Histogram The predominant graph for illustrating frequency distributions, showcasing the occurrence of each distinct value within a dataset 5. Pareto chart A bar graph highlighting the factors of greater significance 6. Scatter diagram Identifies numerous potential causes for an effect or problem and organises concepts into useful categories 7. Stratification A method that segregates data acquired from diverse sources to discern patterns (some lists substitute stratification with flowcharts or run charts) 1. Cause-and-effect diagram (also known as Ishikawa or fishbone diagram) Identifies numerous potential causes for an effect or problem and organises concepts into useful categories 2. Check sheet A structured, prepared form for collecting and analysing data; a versatile tool that is adaptable for various purposes 3. Control chart A control chart comparing current data to historical control limits, indicating whether process variation is consistent (in control) or influenced by special causes (out of control)
