01 | ABOUT NEXG 02 | OUR LEADERSHIP 03| OUR PERSPECTIVE 04 | SUSTAINABILITY 05 | GOVERNANCE 06 | FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 07 | OTHER INFORMATION Sustainability Statement ENERGY & EMISSIONS MANAGEMENT (CONT'D) ENERGY AND EMISSION CONSUMPTION (CONT'D) MOVING TOWARDS IFRS DISCLOSURES Reflecting our continued progress in data maturity, our Scope 1 direct stood at 34.47 tCO2e in FY2026, following the incorporation of fugitive emissions tracking for the first time. Meanwhile, Scope 2 indirect emissions increased to 2,246.45 tCO2e, representing the largest share of our carbon footprint. This upward trend from 539.20 tCO2e in FY2025 was primarily attributable to expanded production activities and additional specialised equipment usage required to support key secure printing operations. Additionally, we further strengthened value chain transparency by recording 262.62 tCO2e under Scope 3 emissions. This was driven by newly tracked data under Category 5 (Waste Generated in Operations) which contributed 77.84 tCO2e, Category 6 (Business Travel – Flights) at 121.18 tCO2e, and land vehicle fuel consumption under senior management fuel cards at 63.60 tCO2e Moving forward, NexG will leverage the FY2026 reporting boundary as a baseline for future target setting while continuing to explore suitable energy efficiency measures across all operating sites. Businesses and communities are mutually dependent. The communities surrounding any organisation contribute to its success, through the talent they produce, the environments they sustain, and the trust they extend. Recognising this, businesses have a role to play in giving back and investing in the same communities that support them. For NexG, supporting thecommunities is a responsibility we embrace as a responsible corporate citizen. Our community engagement efforts are guided by our "LIFE" philosophy, which frames CSR as a commitment to local communities. Each year, we reinvest a portion of our profits into community programmes, whether through financial assistance, in-kind support, or the direct involvement of our people. Our employees are kept informed of upcoming outreach activities and are free to participate on a voluntary basis. Employees who participate are provided with replacement leaves, meal vouchers, and mileage reimbursements, making participation accessible without placing undue burden on the individual. At the same time, the fulfilment of our corporate zakat obligation is an integral part of how we give back. Since 2023, we have administered this through Pusat Pungutan Zakat-Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan ("PPZ-MAIWP"), ensuring our contributions are channelled through an accountable institution to verified asnaf zakat recipients. In FY2026, our corporate zakat payment amounted to RM2.04 million. NexG remains committed to progressively aligning its sustainability reporting with IFRS S1 and IFRS S2. The Group will continue enhancing its data collection processes, expanding reporting boundaries, and improving the quality and reliability of sustainabilityrelated information across its operations. SOCIAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? OUR APPROACH OUR PROGRESS In FY2026, the Group channelled a total of RM328,178.91 to external CSR initiatives that reached 529 beneficiaries, benefiting the broader community.
