The Group’s total water consumption in FY2026 increased compared to FY2025, driven primarily by higher production activities at PJ223 and Meru sites. In addition, water consumption data from Prima 10 were incorporated into the reporting scope, contributing to overall increase. The Group’s total water consumption of 9,625.61 m3 (or 9.63 megalitres) in FY2026 reflects the nonwater-intensive nature of our operations. Note: * Data was not tracked in respective year. (1) Damansara is not included in the reporting of water consumption data. In FY2026, NexG’s water consumption patterns mirrored the Group’s increased business activities and operational demands. To support this growth and maintain the security and quality standards of our products, new printing configurations were introduced, which required additional maintenance procedures, including the washing of printing plates and equipment to ensure production reliability. While these high-precision quality control and maintenance activities contributed to higher water consumption during the financial year, they were necessary to support operational integrity and product quality. Moving forward, NexG remains committed to continuously improving resource efficiency and progressively decoupling operational growth from environmental consumption. WASTE MANAGEMENT WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? OUR APPROACH Waste is an unavoidable by-product of any businesses. Left unmanaged, waste contributes to pollution, strains natural ecosystems, and can result in regulatory and reputational consequences for the businesses responsible. Therefore, managing it responsibly, from reducing what is generated to ensuring proper handling and disposal, is part of our obligation to the environment and the communities around our facilities. NexG manages waste across its full lifecycle, from how it is generated and segregated at the source, through to collection, treatment, and final disposal. The focus is on both handling waste responsibly and actively reducing how much we generate in the first place. We manage two (2) main categories of waste across our operations: i) Solid Waste Solid waste covers everyday materials arising from our operations, such as paper, packaging, plastics, and non-sensitive production offcuts. At the point of disposal, these are sorted into recyclable and non-recyclable streams. Recyclable items such as paper, cardboard, and approved plastic containers are processed accordingly, while non-recyclable waste such as certain security-related production waste and general refuse are sent to authorised landfills or disposed of securely through licensed vendors. ii) Scheduled Waste Scheduled waste refers to regulated materials that may pose environmental or health risks if not handled properly, such as used chemical containers and toner waste. At NexG, scheduled wastes are stored and labelled in accordance with legal requirements, and disposal is managed by third-party contractors licensed by the Department of Environment ("DOE"), in compliance with the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
