The list of certifications and licences granted to the Group is available in the Sustainability Statement included in this Annual Report. The External Auditors have reviewed this Statement on Risk Management and Internal Control pursuant to the scope set out in accordance with Malaysian Approved Standard on Assurance Engagements, ISAE 3000 (Revised), Assurance Engagements other than Audits or Reviews of Historical Financial Information, and Audit and Assurance Practice Guide 3 (“AAPG 3”), Guidance for Auditors on Engagements to Report on the Statement on Risk Management and Internal Control included in the Annual Report, issued by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”). The External Auditors have opined to the Board that nothing has come to their attention that causes them to believe this Statement is inconsistent with their understanding of the processes adopted by the Board in reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management and internal control system of the Group, in all material respects, in accordance with the disclosure required by paragraphs 41 and 42 of the Statement on Risk Management and Internal Control Guideline for Directors of Listed Issuers. AAPG 3 does not require the External Auditors to consider whether this Statement covers all risks and controls, or to form an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group's risk management and internal control system. The External Auditors are also not required to consider whether the processes described to deal with material internal control aspects of any significant problems disclosed in the Annual Report will, in fact, remedy those problems. The Board is of the view that the risk management and internal control systems and processes are satisfactory and sound for the year under review, and up to the date of approval of this Statement. The Board, together with Management, continues to monitor all major risks affecting the Group's business operations and to take necessary measures to mitigate or minimise them, as well as to continuously enhance the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management and internal control system of the Group. The Board has received assurance from the Executive Chairman and Executive Deputy Chairman / Chief Executive Officer that the Group’s risk management and internal control system is operating adequately and effectively, in all material aspects, based on the risk management and internal control system of the Group.
