ANNUAL REPORT 2025 SUSTAINABILITY Sustainability Statement (Cont’d) 61 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? SOCIAL NexG is committed to upholding our social responsibilities by fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment while contributing meaningfully to the communities in which we operate. We believe that sustainable success is built on the well-being of our people and society at large, which is why we prioritise employee health, safety, and development, promote diversity and equal opportunity, and actively engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiatives through local hiring, procurement and social outreach programmes. Communities with a strong social fabric are essential for the long-term success of any business. Such communities foster a stable and supportive environment that attracts and retains top talent, stimulating innovation and enhancing productivity. We are aware of this link and focus on creating shared value with our communities for a mutually beneficial relationship. This further solidifies our position as a responsible corporate citizen and strengthens our relationships with stakeholders. OUR APPROACH At NexG, our approach to community engagement is shaped by our “LIFE” philosophy to give back to the communities that support us, making a difference where it is needed most. Each year, we reinvest part of our profits into causes close to our hearts — supporting underprivileged children, individuals with disabilities, and communities facing hardship. Whether it is providing school supplies, food aid, or simply lending a hand, we seek to uplift lives and help build a more inclusive society. We also encourage our people to play an active role in our outreach efforts. Participation in our programmes is always voluntary and we make it easy for employees to get involved by sharing upcoming opportunities ahead of time. To recognise their time and contribution, we offer benefits such as replacement leaves, meal vouchers, and mileage reimbursements, among others. Since 2023, we have also partnered with Pusat Pungutan Zakat-Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (“PPZ-MAIWP”) to support zakat distribution for those in need — both within and outside our organisation. Collaborations like this strengthen our efforts and help our people make an even bigger impact. In FY2025, we have also made a payment of RM1,008,085 as our corporate zakat contribution. OUR PROGRESS In FY2025, the Group channelled a total of RM822,267 into community programmes, positively impacting 26,362 individuals and their communities.
