NexG Berhad Annual Report 2025

ANNUAL REPORT 2025 OUR PERSPECTIVE 34 Amidst these changes, the Group achieved our highest-ever net profit of RM115.7 million on the back of RM373.5 million in revenue. This was supported by recurring contract extensions with the Malaysian Government, international project wins in Africa and Indonesia and operational improvements across our business segments. As we embrace this next phase of growth, our core mission remains unchanged, to serve the nation through trusted technologies that empower identity, protect data and enable progress. FY2025 has demonstrated our ability to innovate while preserving the confidence placed in us by our stakeholders. We are grateful for your continued trust and look forward to building a future where NexG plays a central role in shaping Malaysia’s digital destiny. Management Discussion And Analysis The financial year ended 31 March 2025 (“FY2025”) marked a defining chapter in the evolution of our Group. It was a year that not only delivered record-breaking financial performance, but more importantly, set the foundation for NexG Berhad’s transformation into a future-ready, digitally focused organisation aligned with national priorities. Formerly known as Datasonic Group Berhad, the Group undertook a strategic rebranding to NexG Berhad, following shareholders’ approval in February 2025. This rebranding was not a mere change of name but a deliberate and forward-looking decision to reflect our expanded mandate in supporting Malaysia’s digital economy. The new identity signals our commitment to go beyond secure document supply and to lead in the development of trusted digital infrastructure, inclusive technologies and regional strategic alliances. Throughout the year, we maintained our leadership in secure ID and mission-critical government ICT solutions while achieving meaningful progress in our transformation journey. This included the acquisition of Innov8tif Holdings Sdn Bhd, a key enabler of our entry into the AI Fraud Prevention and digital onboarding space and the restructuring of the Group into three strategic pillars to deliver value across a broader range of high-impact initiatives.
