66 MY E.G. SERVICES BERHAD Registration No. 200001003034 (505639-K) ANTI-BRIBERY AND ANTI-CORRUPTION TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION Anti-bribery and anti-corruption training remain essential to MYEG to foster better understanding and enforcement of the Group’s ABAC policies and practices. Board members are entrusted to lead from the top to develop the Group’s ability to govern whilst maintaining a high-level of integrity simultaneously, and therefore receive important ABAC training aligned to their leadership attributes and experience. The necessity of ABAC training persists as a crucial element for MYEG to cultivate a deeper comprehension and implementation of the Group’s ABAC policies and practices. Board members, as leaders at the Group’s helm, bear the responsibility to set the tone from the top to foster the Group’s governance capabilities while upholding a high level of integrity, which is why they undergo significant ABAC training tailored to their leadership attributes and experience. However, not only do Board members receive ABAC training, but so do other employees at a non-senior decisionmaking level. Therefore, employees, Board members, Heads of Department (“HODs”) and senior decision-level decision makers have all been exposed to various anti-corruption refresher courses and related training programmes throughout FY2023 to enable them to continue performing their fiduciary and statutory duties. MYEG’s yearly ABAC refresher course was successfully conducted in FY2023, with strong participation attendance from employees. FY2023’s yearly ABAC refresher course was held physically which allowed easier teaching of the course’s content to attending participants. MYEG continues to remain determined in ensuring as many participants as possible attended this yearly ABAC refresher course, which is detailed below: Training Agenda Training Objective Training Outcome r Overview of the ABAC Framework II r ABAC Policy r Governance structure and corruption risk management r Managing transactions r Your business ethics (as MYEG employees) r Your responsibility in managing MYEG’s external parties r Other enforcement and monitoring efforts r Getting help r Making a report r To deploy various communication tools and methods to raise awareness on the ABAC Policy and the Group’s anti-bribery and anticorruption stance amongst its stakeholders r To create an awareness in the organisation on the importance of employees in preventing bribery and corruption r Team members are compliant with ABAC Laws r To create a culture of integrity within MYEG r Regular training will provide staff with a thorough understanding of the policies and legal requirements necessary for an ethical workplace r To highlight the importance of the staff’s role in preventing bribery and corruption.
