The recent adoption of two additional UNSDGs, UNSDG 9 and UNSDG 11, in the last financial year has further spurred MYEG’s alignment with our various ESG-relevant management objectives and strategies. The “Group Achievements and Highlights” section of the table outlines the goals MYEG successfully reached in aligning with the UNSDGs, while the “Upcoming Plans” segment outlines the Group’s possible forthcoming initiatives: UNSDG UNSDG DESCRIPTION GROUP ACHIEVEMENTS AND HIGHLIGHTS UPCOMING PLANS Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. For the Group: r Remained invested in affordable medicine and healthcare insurance for all employees. For employees and the community: r Organised mutiple blood donation campaigns to promote awareness of inculcating a culture of helping others. r Posters / e-mail notifications / health tips on practising selfcleanliness were provided to better prevent COVID-19 infections. r Ensured legal compliance for safe and healthy work procedures. r Work from home arrangements are instituted when necessary to ensure safety and health of employees and stakeholders. r Maintain suitable employee healthcare benefits. r Continue working closely with Komuniti (MYEG’s CSR arm) to engage in healthrelated CSR initiatives. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. r Continued upholding fair labour recruitment practices. r Remained proactive in bolstering equal opportunity in the workplace, particularly granting equal opportunities in leadership roles for women in MYEG’s workforce. r Maintained a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, sexual harassment and unethical behaviour is maintained at the workplace, and employees are encouraged to report ethical misconduct cases without being exposed or dismissed. r Any proven case was subjected to appropriate actions being taken to address and mitigate them. r Introduce new effective safety measures for women in the workplace. r Further enhance the grievance mechanism’s accessibility. r Ensure MYEG’s female employees’ full and effective participation in equal workplace opportunities and for leadership roles at all decision-making levels. r Enhance the workplace’s support structure for pregnant female employees beyond maternity leave provision.
