SIGNIFICANT EVENTS DURING THE FINANCIAL YEAR (CONT’D) (j) On 27 July 2023, the Company received approval from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for the listing and quotation of up to 166,622,721 new shares under the DRP Share Issuance. The approval is subject to compliance with relevant provisions of the Main Market Listing Requirements, including informing Bursa Securities upon completion of the issuance and furnishing written confirmation of compliance. CIMB Investment Bank Berhad (“CIMB”) will oversee the implementation of the DRP and is required to pay any additional listing fees based on the final issue price. (k) On 10 August 2023, CIMB announced on behalf of the Company that the issue price for the new shares to be issued under the DRP in respect of the final single-tier dividend of 1.17 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended 31 December 2022 had been fixed at RM0.715 per share. (l) On 18 September 2023, the Company announced a partnership with China’s Guangxi Beitou IT Innovation Technology Investment Group Co., Ltd. to utilise the Zetrix blockchain for cross-border credentials verification services, facilitating the digitalization of vital documents, including government-issued identity credentials. Beitou IT Innovation, a subsidiary of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group Co., Ltd., specializes in digital industry development and manages the China-ASEAN Information Port Beitou Digital Technology Park. (m) On 19 September 2023, the Company announced the temporary suspension of accepting applications for immigration-related services, effective from 15 September 2023, until further notice. This suspension aims to facilitate the finalisation of concession terms with the Government of Malaysia. Any significant updates regarding the resumption of immigration-related services and the concession extension will be promptly disclosed to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. (n) On 17 October 2023, the Company announced the receipt of a letter of acceptance dated 16 October 2023, from the Ministry of Home Affairs, extending the Immigration Related Services for a period of 2 years (“the Extension”). As per the Extension requirements, the Company will undertake a system enhancement before resuming acceptance of applications for Immigration related services, with the commencement date to be announced in due course. (o) On 17 October 2023, the Company announced that its Enterprise Layer 1 Blockchain Zetrix will conduct an Initial Exchange Offering (“IEO”) on Coinstore, a digital asset exchange, from 18 October 2023 to 26 October 2023. Following the IEO, Zetrix tokens will be listed on Coinstore, as well as other digital asset exchanges such as MEXC and BitForex on 28 October 2023. (p) On 23 October 2023, Summer Capital Limited (“Summer Capital”) announced its partnership with Zetrix, a public blockchain platform connected to China’s national blockchain infrastructure, Xinghuo BIF. This collaboration aims to capitalise on Hong Kong’s growing interest in blockchain technology, driven by regulatory developments and government initiatives. Zetrix’s integration with Xinghuo BIF provides access to China’s digital economy, making it attractive for businesses expanding into China. Summer Capital’s strategic investment and network in Hong Kong are expected to enhance Zetrix’s position and drive innovation in the web3 space. (q) On 30 October 2023, the Company announced the extension of its appointment as a collection agent for the Road Transport Department of Malaysia through its subsidiary, EGSB. The extension, effective from 23 May 2023 to 22 May 2026 authorises the Company and EGSB to provide vehicle registration services, driver and vehicle licensing and electronic payment of summon services for a period of three years. (r) On 30 November 2023, Zetrix initiated a pilot project in collaboration with Chinese banks, starting with the Bank of China, to offer supply chain financing products for international importers and exporters. Leveraging blockchain technology, the project streamlines digital onboarding processes and offers costeffective financing options. This move aligns with China’s robust digital transformation efforts, supported by government initiatives. Zetrix’s integration with China’s national blockchain, Xinghuo BIF, ensures secure and reliable transactions. Partnering with Dixchain further strengthens Zetrix’s ability to provide comprehensive digital solutions for global cross-border trade and finance. 258 MY E.G.
