SERVICES BERHAD Registration No. 200001003034 (505639-K) MATERIALITY MATTERS (cont’d) OSH INCIDENT INVESTIGATION As per MYEG’s established OSH protocols, all OSH-related incidents must be reported and investigated as soon as possible. Those assigned to conduct incident investigations should be competent. Employees and their representatives should participate for the benefit of the investigation. The results of such investigations should be communicated to the safety and health committee, where it exists, and the committee should make appropriate recommendations. The person in charge will be notified and informed for them to take appropriate corrective action(s) based on the recommendation. The corrective action(s) resulting from such investigations should be implemented and verified as recommended. Any OSH non-comliance is also highlighted to the relevant department and upon assessing the facts objectively and impartially, adequate corrective measures for the non-compliance will be taken and noted for improvement. Any work-related fatality, injury, disability, ill health, disease infection and near miss shall be notified to the employer and/or relevant authorities, in accordance with national laws, for it to be investigated by the Group. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION, RISK ASSESSMENT AND RISK CONTROL The Group conducts risk assessments to evaluate and identify hazards and risks in the workplace. OSHA involves conducting a thorough review of the environment, including the building, working practices and any other hazards that may exist. Regular inspections are done to inspect dangerous activities and processes to assess pertinent risks and decide whether an alternative and safer method can be used. The Chief Caring Officer acting as Chief Risk Officer is responsible for the Company’s risk management operations, including managing, identifying, evaluating, reporting and overseeing the firm’s OSH risks externally and internally to the organisation, and thus works diligently with senior management on governing this material topic. The Board receives quarterly reports on risk-related topics. To prevent any significant negative occupational health and safety impacts on them and the organisation. MYEG conducts regular safety trainings and briefings for employees. OSH TRAINING Employee OSH training programmes provided by MYEG include Basic Occupational CPR, First Aid & AED, Basic Fire Fighting ASIC FIRE FIGHTING and briefing on the OSH Act.
