REVENUE (CONT’D) Customer loyalty rewards The Group operates the customer loyalty programme, which allows customers to accumulate points for future redemption when they purchase products or services at the Group’s stores. The consideration received from the sale of goods is allocated to the goods sold and the points issued that are expected to be redeemed. The consideration allocated to the points issued is measured at fair value of the points. It is recognised as a liability (contract liabilities) in the statements of financial position and recognised as revenue when the points are redeemed, have expired or are longer expected to be redeemed. The amount of revenue recognised is based on the number of points that have been redeemed, relative to the total number of points expected to be redeemed. 23.
