To nurture the love of the sport for the next generation of golfers, we have partnered with ten professional golf trainers at the MST Golf Academy and seven professional golf trainers at The Golf Lab in 2023. As a result of our collaboration, we have coached 259 junior golfers in our MST Golf Academy and 515 beginner golfers across our Golf Lab locations in Malaysia and Singapore in 2023. Community Events 3 We are dedicated to igniting passion and building community through our shared love of golf. In 2023, we hosted seven community golfing events like ilovegolf golf tournaments, which involved 470 amateur golfer participants. Our annual GOLFEST also allowed golfers to experience the latest equipment from top brands. OUR INITIATIVES During the year under review, we organised various initiatives to further promote golf and lower the barriers to entering the sport. 1 Inclusive Golf To promote the game of golf, we brought the game to more diverse communities. In 2023, we successfully partnered with Special Olympics Malaysia to train special athletes in golf. To date, coaches from MST Golf Academy and The Golf Lab have provided three voluntary golf lessons for 11 athletes from Special Olympics Malaysia. Besides that, we also partnered with NGOs like Dignity For Children and Good Samaritan Home to host golf experiential learning programmes, where we introduced golf to 59 underserved youths in 2023. Our five MST Golf Arena indoor golf playing facilities also provide beginner-friendly golf simulation games that allow for inclusive play for golfers of various ages and skill levels. As part of our commitment to share the joy of golf with beginners, our bay hosts at MST Golf Arena provide free golf tips and guides to help new golfers get started with their golfing journey. Additionally, we also share tips and knowledge about the sport through social media platforms. Internally, we implemented the Employee Learn to Golf programme for 40 head office employees to nurture their passion for golf in 2022. GOING FORWARD In our ongoing commitment to cultivating a thriving golf culture, we are dedicated to fostering inclusivity, sustainability and strategic partnerships. Our primary focus is on broadening market reach, breaking down barriers and ensuring golf remains a sport that fosters community connections. Our goals include facilitating more beginner-friendly clinics, developing amateur golf events and promoting golf to more youths. We also aim to increase the accessibility of golf equipment, services and coaching for communities and individuals with fewer resources through strategic partnerships, donations and events that embrace inclusivity. Finally, we envision more collaborations in impactful campaigns, events and partnerships with non-golf brands and sustainability organisations, complemented by an elevated social media presence showcasing engaging content to bridge golf across industries and communities.
