SECTION 2: OUR STRATEGIC CONTEXT 82 GOING FORWARD We acknowledge that much needs to be done amidst rapid climate degradation, and we are committed to intensifying our climate transformation efforts in the years to come. We will continue building a climate-friendly and climate-conscious work culture through sustainability training and initiatives. Our priority is setting measurable short-, mid- and long-term climate transformation targets and plans across the “Better Environment“ pillar scope, incorporating emissions, waste, energy and water considerations into SOPs and decision-making. We also aim to establish a more robust sustainability governance structure with more board involvement to embed climate considerations in strategies. Climate scenario analysis, including impact assessments and adaptation plans, will be conducted within the next few years to guide the transformation of our systems and processes for resilience. We also target inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index, reflecting our governance efforts. Additionally, we aim to enhance collaborations and engagement to encourage external stakeholders in climate change mitigation. We will also provide transparent disclosures on MST Golf’s climate goals and targets. Lastly, we will organise more internal initiatives and participate in external restorative programmes to rehabilitate natural ecosystems. 3 Nature Recovery Activities Part of our climate resilience strategy is supporting and amplifying the work of people and organisations championing environmental causes, generating impacts beyond our business context. In 2023, we organised two beach clean-ups in Selangor. The first event in March, in collaboration with the non-governmental organisation Malaysian Nature Society, involved 37 MST Golf employees at Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang. 86.7 kg of waste was collected, 148 mangrove seeds were harvested and 106 were planted. The second beach clean-up in August was a joint effort with Sustainability Solutions at Pantai Remis, Jeram, involving 97 MST Golf employees, suppliers, friends and families. 299 kg of waste was collected during the event.
