SECTION 2: OUR STRATEGIC CONTEXT 54 WHY IT MATTERS TO US As a golf retailer and distributor, we procure, distribute and sell various golf products including, but not limited to, equipment, apparel and accessories. We do not operate any manufacturing processes that involve the extraction and processing of raw and semi-manufactured materials and parts. Our golf products, including the packaging materials, are sourced from external suppliers in ready form. While every product carries economic and social value, we are aware that golf products and packaging contribute to the global fashion carbon footprint and may lead to pollution when discarded improperly. Thus, we aim to manage and prolong our products’ life cycles by collaborating with stakeholders and implementing circular initiatives based on the 7Rs (rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, repair and recycle) to enhance their usage while reducing negative environmental impacts. KEY STRATEGIES We are adopting three key strategies to promote better golf product life cycle management to extend our golf products’ usage value and reduce waste. 1 Circular Programmes & Initiatives 2 Collaborative Effort 3 Educate & Inform We aim to establish programmes rooted in the 7Rs to prolong and manage the life cycles of our golf products and their packaging. We endeavour to work with relevant parties to develop collaborative initiatives that extend our products’ life cycles and reduce their negative impacts. We strive to educate and encourage our stakeholders to prolong the life cycle of their golf products through effective information sharing and product stewardship. The Group is committed to implementing systems and procedures across the sales, use and disposal phases of golf products to reduce the negative environmental impacts generated from both products and packaging while increasing their economic and social benefits.
