41 ANNUAL REPORT 2023 MST GOLF GROUP BERHAD The Sustainability Working Committee assigned each criterion with its own priority weightage, with 50% assigned to business aspects (criteria 1 to 5) and 50% assigned to community aspects (criteria 6 to 8), as we deem both aspects as equally important. In the business aspects, we attributed 10% for each criterion, as each material matter is equally important and can impact each other, as illustrated below: In the non-business/community aspects, we attributed 20% to both social and environmental impact and governance and compliance, as they are within our control compared to media and public perception and trust, where we attributed 10%. Following the survey, we calculated the average score for each sustainability matter to identify the material matter’s x-axis value in the materiality matrix. They were: The opinions of each stakeholder group were assigned varying degrees of priority, with the perspectives of Shareholders, Employees and Customers & Clients being the most significant. Shareholders dictate our progress and perception while employees are the builders of the Company and Customers & Clients are our lifeblood. Government, Regulators & Providers of Capital were the second most important stakeholder group, as they provide directives and guidance on best business practices that will ensure business continuity and sustainable capital flow. The opinions of Vendors will help us build a sustainable supply chain while Local Communities and Golf Industry Players serve as our strategic partners to meet the needs of the communities we serve and contribute to the sustainability of the golf industry.
