SECTION 3: OUR GOVERNANCE 112 KEY SENIOR MANAGEMENT’S PROFILE Yong Wai Chien serves as our Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in the golf retail business. Ms. Yong holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (1991) and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Association of Business Executives (UK) in 1993. She began her retail management career at Batu Road Supermarket Sdn Bhd in 1991 before joining George Town Chemist Sdn Bhd in 1993. Ms. Yong then joined Pan West Sdn Bhd, a golf retailer, she served as Operations Executive and later as Retail Manager. In August 2001, she joined MST Golf Sdn Bhd as International Operations Manager, managing overseas outlets in Singapore and exploring business opportunities in foreign markets. She played a pivotal role in central operations and in November 2003, assumed additional responsibilities as Head of Control Division. Leaving MST Golf Sdn Bhd in April 2004, Ms. Yong joined Nike (Thailand) Ltd as Golf Sales & Marketing Director for South East Asia. She returned to MST Golf Sdn Bhd as General Manager in May 2006 and later assumed her current role as Chief Operating Officer in July 2022. In her current role, she oversees various business operations for Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, including retail operations, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, driving range operations, buying, merchandising, e-commerce operations and wholesale and corporate sales at a group level. Heng Kok Wee serves as our Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 22 years of experience in management and financial roles within the retail industry. Mr. Heng was admitted as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2012, he became a fellow in 2017. Holding a Master of Business Administration from The University of Lancaster, UK (2018), he has been a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and associate member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia since 2012 and member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants since 2014. In 2015, he earned the Certified Internal Auditor designation. Starting his career as an Audit Assistant with Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co in February 2002, he later held roles at Makro Cash & Carry Distribution (M) Sdn Bhd, Carrefour Malaysia (presently known as AEON BIG (M) Sdn Bhd), Watson’s Personal Care Stores Sdn Bhd and Yamaha Music (Malaysia). His responsibilities included overseeing store operations, regional control, warehousing and logistics. Joining our Group in November 2021, Mr. Heng is responsible for overseeing the financial, accounting and compliance functions, including finance and accounts, operational finance and management information systems.
