WASTE MANAGEMENT Why is it important The Group recognises the importance of managing waste responsibly across its operations and project activities. Improper handling or disposal of waste may result in pollution, operational inefficiencies, regulatory non-compliance and additional costs. Our Approach The Group is committed to minimising waste generated from its operations, project activities and facilities while promoting responsible handling, recycling and disposal practices. Waste management considerations are integrated into planning, procurement, operational activities and contractor oversight processes across the Group. The Group’s key waste management measures are summarised below: Area Key Measures Waste Prevention and Operational Controls • Waste generation is managed through operational planning, material control, housekeeping and supervision practices across project, workshop and operational activities. Efforts are made to minimise excess materials, rework and unnecessary waste generation, where practicable. Reuse, Recycling and Recovery Practices • Reuse, recycling and recovery practices are implemented, where feasible, across construction, vessel-related and MRO activities. • Recyclable materials, including scrap metal and other recoverable materials, are segregated and recycled, where practicable. Waste Handling and Disposal • Waste segregation, storage, collection and disposal practices are implemented across relevant sites and operational activities. • Waste collection, transportation and disposal are carried out by licensed thirdparty contractors, where required. Monitoring and Compliance • Waste management practices are monitored through inspections, operational oversight and contractor supervision processes. • Non-compliance matters or operational issues identified are addressed through corrective actions, where appropriate.
