They are recognised at their original invoice amounts which represent their fair values on initial recognition. (b) The amounts due from subsidiaries represent advances and payments on behalf, which bears interest at 6.23% (2017: 5.00%) per annum and payable on demand in cash and cash equivalents. The amount due from an associate represent advances and payments on behalf, which is interest free and payable on demand in cash and cash equivalents. The Group makes impairment of receivables based on an assessment of the recoverability of receivables. Impairment is applied to receivables where events or changes in circumstances indicate that the carrying amounts may not be recoverable. The management specifically analyses historical bad debts, customer concentration, customer creditworthiness, current economic trends and changes in customer payment terms when making a judgement to evaluate the adequacy of impairment of receivables.
