DESTINI Annual Report 2025

SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT Most of the Group’s operations are housed within our corporate headquarters in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. In line with our commitment to sustainability principles and in support of the Government’s Malaysia Electricity Supply Industry (MESI) 2.0 reform initiative, we made a significant investment in renewable energy through the installation of a rooftop Solar PV system. Approved by Tenaga Nasional Berhad, the system has a maximum capacity of approximately 150 kWp and has been fully operational since December 2021. During the reporting year, the solar PV system generated 131.6 MWh of renewable energy, enabling the building to reduce approximately 431.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting 23,559 trees. This investment demonstrates the Group’s commitment to transitioning towards clean energy and reducing its carbon footprint. Beyond renewable energy, the Group actively promotes energy efficiency within its offices. Employees are encouraged to switch off electrical and electronic equipment such as computers, fans, air conditioners and lighting when not in use, including during breaks. Our facilities are equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting and split-unit air-conditioning systems, further reducing energy consumption. To minimise emissions from commuting, staff are also encouraged to carpool or utilise public transportation. Water consumption within our facilities is limited primarily to drinking and sanitation purposes, sourced solely from municipal suppliers and discharged into public sewage systems. The Group has implemented water conservation measures as part of its Environmental Management System (EMS), including policies to optimise consumption and awareness initiatives to encourage employees to act as responsible water stewards. Through these initiatives, the Group reaffirms its commitment to responsible resource management, reducing environmental impact, and supporting Malaysia’s transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable future. C. SOCIAL We recognise our employees as the Group’s most valuable asset and are committed to nurturing their capabilities and competencies through continuous upskilling, training, and professional development opportunities. To attract, retain, and motivate the right talent, the Group ensures that its reward and benefits packages remain competitive and aligned with industry standards. We are equally committed to fostering a workplace culture built on meritocracy and inclusivity by providing fair and equal opportunities for all employees to grow and succeed. Succession Planning A highly skilled workforce forms the foundation of the Group’s ability to enhance productivity and cultivate a positive workplace culture. Recognising the importance of leadership continuity, succession planning is integral to sustaining long-term business performance and forms a key component of the Group's Human Capital sustainability strategy. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) oversees the Group Human Capital Plan, which encompasses succession management frameworks, leadership development activities, job and salary reviews, as well as the annual manpower budget. Succession planning is implemented progressively across the Group, with tailored training programmes specifically designed to prepare management staff for critical and leadership roles. Through these initiatives, the Group ensures that its talent pipeline remains strong, agile, and capable of supporting business continuity while driving sustainable growth. Safe Workplace The health, safety, and well-being of our employees are of paramount importance to Destini and form a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainable development. We have established comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies to guide management and employees in creating a safe, secure, and healthy workplace that is deeply embedded in our organisational purpose and culture.
