Our strategy that is foundational to our vision for inclusive prosperity, evolves in line with the dynamic ESG landscape surrounding sustainability, informed by updated regulatory policies and guidelines on ESG, sustainability, and climate-related risk management. At its core, our approach is shaped by Shariah values and the practice of Value-based Intermediation (VBI), integrating ESG and climate considerations into our business operations and ethos. A key focus area for the Group remains the implementation of VBI principles in accordance with the Group’s core values as a Shariah-driven Islamic financial institution as part of the Group Sustainability Plan. The Maqasid Shariah conveys values that guide our business focus, while the Group also strived in aligning products and service offerings to the UNSDGs. Our Sustainability Roadmap is aligned with our aspirations for ethical business practices, reflecting our ongoing commitment to: Ensure all business decisions are aligned with the preservation of wealth values, thus achieving the Maqasid Shariah, by offering Shariah-compliant solutions. Ensure our sustainability initiatives are relevant, effective, and in step with industry standards. Maintain flexibility through ongoing revisions to our Roadmap, ensuring responsiveness to the sustainability landscape’s continuous evolution. Draw guidance from the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, and the UNSDGs. Adhere to BNM’s guidelines, including VBI, the Climate Change and Principle-based Taxonomy (CCPT), Climate Risk Management and Scenario Analysis (CRMSA) and 2024 Climate Risk Stress Testing Exercise (CRST), demonstrating our forward approach in managing climate-related risks and opportunities. Align with the aspirations and goals of the United Nations Global Compact Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) and CEO Action Network as a signatory of these organisations.
