214 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ANNUAL REPORT 2020 39. SEGMENT INFORMATION For management purposes, the Group is organised into business segments based on their products and services. The Group’s chief operation decision maker reviews the information of each business segment on at least monthly basis for the purposes of resource allocation and assessment of segment performance. Therefore, the Group’s reportable segments under MFRS 8 are as follows: (i) Property development and construction - property development, building and civil works  contracting. (ii) Plantation - oil palm cultivation. (iii) Hotel and property investment - hotel business and property investment and  management. (iv) Trading - trading in building materials and household related  products and general trading. (v) Manufacturing - furniture manufacturing. (vi) Investment holding - investment holding and management services. Non-reportable segments comprise recreational club operation, money lending and provision of insurance broking services. Segment revenue and results The accounting policies of the reportable segments are the same as the Group’s accounting policies described in Note 3. Segment results represents profit before tax of the segment. Inter-segment transactions are entered into in the ordinary course of business based on terms mutually agreed upon by the parties concerned. Segment assets Segment assets are measured based on all assets (including goodwill) of the segment, excluding investment in associates, deferred tax assets and current tax asset. Segment liabilities Segment liabilities are measured based on all liabilities, excluding loans and borrowings, lease liability, current tax liabilities and deferred tax liabilities.
