GENERAL INFORMATION The Company is a public limited liability company, incorporated and domiciled in Malaysia and is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The principal activities of the Company are investment holding and providing management services. The information on the name, place of incorporation, principal activities and percentage of issued share capital held by the Company in each subsidiaries are as disclosed in Note 14. There have been no significant changes in the nature of these activities during the financial year. The registered office of the Company is located at Suite 1, 5th Floor, Wisma MKH, Jalan Semenyih, 43000 Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The principal place of business of the Company is located at 5th Floor, Wisma MKH, Jalan Semenyih, 43000 Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The financial statements were approved and authorised for issue in accordance with a Board of Directors’ resolution dated 26 December 2019. 2. BASIS OF PREPARATION OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS (a) Statement of compliance The financial statements of the Group and of the Company have been prepared in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRSs”), International Financial Reporting Standards and the requirements of the Companies Act, 2016 in Malaysia. The financial statements of the Group and of the Company have been prepared under the historical cost basis, except as disclosed in the significant accounting policies in Note 3. The preparation of financial statements in conformity with MFRSs requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and disclosures of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the financial statements and the reported amounts of the revenue and expenses during the reported period. It also requires directors to exercise their judgements in the process of applying the Group’s and the Company’s accounting policies. Although these estimates and judgements are based on the directors’ best knowledge of current events and actions, actual results may differ. The areas involving a higher degree of judgement or complexity, or areas where assumptions and estimates are significant to the financial statements are disclosed in Note 2(c).
