During her tenure in the public sector, she attended management courses organised by Harvard Business School and Stanford University in USA. Dato’ Kalsom had served in various capacities in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) both at the Headquarters and overseas offices, the last post being the Deputy Secretary General (Industry). Rahman Independent Non-Executive Director Dato’ Kalsom binti Abd. Rahman, a Malaysian aged 66, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of MISC Berhad on 27 October 2004.
