This is echoed in the Group’s Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct. An Integrity and Governance Committee and Department were established to ensure the proper implementation and effectiveness of the Group’s governance-related initiatives in line with Section 17A (Corporate Liability) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”) Act 2009. Whistleblowing Policy Datasonic’s Whistleblowing Policy applies to all employees and business associates. It acts as a formal and confidential platform to disclose or report any suspected questionable or improper conducts without fear of disciplinary action or reprisal, providing protection for the whistle-blower. Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) Policy We adopt a zero-tolerance approach against all forms of bribery and corruption. Our commitment in this respect is set out in the Group’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) Policy, which was enforced in 2020. Our ABAC Policy fulfils the requirements in the Guidelines on Adequate Procedures pursuant to Subsection (5) of Section 17A under the MACC Act, and applies to the Group’s directors, employees and business associates.
