Incorporated on 10 March 2011, MSM is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia and has grown year-on-year market capitalisation to RM900 million as at 31 December 2021. A 57-year-old iconic home-grown business, which carries an approximate brand value of RM621.1 million, MSM’s continued success is testament that its repute and brand values are being passed on from one generation of Malaysians to the next. The current production capacity for MSM Group is 2.05 million tonnes, a drop from 2.14 million tonnes capacity in FY2020 due to the disposal of MSM Perlis Sdn Bhd following the Group’s consolidation. As improvements in MSM Johor’s utilisation are ongoing, capacity is expected to grow in the near future. MSM Group produces, markets and sells refined sugar products under our flagship Gula Prai brand that lives up to its slogan, “Sweetening Lives Since 1964.” Apart from household consumers, MSM sells to a wide range of customers in Malaysia and in other countries, directly to major industries as well as small and medium industries (SMIs), and indirectly through traders, wholesalers and distributors.
